We have an opportunity in our Western and Eastern Region Operations working alongside experienced Project Managers, Engineers and Estimators. The successful candidate will be assigned to both tendering and project works working both in our Perth CBD or Melbourne offices and on FIFO roster on site-based projects (predominantly in the Pilbara region of WA and the east coast of Australia). You will be exposed to the delivery of projects including developing construction methodologies, administration of QA and HSE systems, procurement, design control, project planning & programming and resourcing. As part of a team you will be involved in the successful award, delivery and execution of Austral’s projects.

Desired Skills, Experience & Personal Qualities:

\r\n

Recently graduated (or final year) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Have a working knowledge of project management, planning and organisation
Strong computer, IT and network understanding. Experience with MS Office, CAD and other drawing packages (e.g. Google Sketchup) would be advantageous
Strong analytical skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deal with, prioritise and adhere to tight deadlines
Ability to read and draft technical diagrams
Strong logical thinker
Demonstrate initiative and an enthusiastic approach to your work
