Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is one of Australia’s largest autism-specific service providers, with one of the biggest autism-specific school programs in the world. A not-for-profit organisation, we work in partnership with people of all ages on the autism spectrum, and their families to deliver evidence-informed solutions that are person-centred, family-focused and customer driven.

Our comprehensive graduate program includes:

• A combination of self-paced and guided modules covering introduction to the organisation to working with clients
• Joint and shadow visits as you learn the ropes
• An informative webinar series covering the latest evidence-based research
• Child protection and safeguarding training
• An Introduction to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
• Building your caseload gradually
• Strong individualised support and supervision structure with both a clinical and operational focus tailored to your learning needs
• Excellent internal and external professional development opportunities worth approximately $1000 per year

What you bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in speech pathology, occupational therapy or psychology
• Eligible for membership with the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA for speech pathologists) or AHPRA (for occupational therapists)
• Current driver’s licence, use of own vehicle for business purposes (reimbursed per km) and willingness to travel across your local community
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
• Working with Children Check for paid employment for the state you reside in
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ certificate. If you have not already completed the free module, click here to access it.
• You may be required to provide an international police clearance

What we offer:

• $78k to $84,000k p.a. salary package inclusive of superannuation + phone + laptop + reimbursement of daily work kms travelled + tolls

Successful candidates will progress through the following stages:

1. Apply online.
2. Interview with staff members.
3. Reference checking and background checks completed. 
4. Verbal offer made to successful applicants.
5. Sign and return casual employment contract and agreement form.
6. Complete onboarding forms.
7. Receive payment of $10,000 scholarship.
8. Complete your degree requirements.
9. Send final transcript and accreditation paperwork to Aspect.
10. Receive permanent, full time employment contract.
11. Commence work at Aspect!
