Role Context

\r\n

This position will be a key element to the expansion of Avcair's finance function driven by the significant growth experienced by the business. The role reports to the Finance and Commercial Manager, and presents a terrific opportunity to understand and enhance the broad range of functions that need to be performed in a commercial accounting role.

\r\n

Key Responsibilities

\r\n

Manage end to end accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions autonomously, escalating critical issues when required.
Prepare relevant financial period end reports and supporting documentation for commercial contracts as required by the leadership team
Complete relevant bank and credit card reconciliations and reporting requirements
Process fortnightly payroll including expense reimbursement claims, leave liability reconciliation and manage day-to-day employee requests
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the finance function and relevant processes for Avcair's end to end finance processes.

Selection Criteria

\r\n

Essential: Bachelor degree in Business/Commerce majoring in Accounting (or significant and relevant experience)
Desirable: CA/CPA qualification (or currently completing same)
Ability to manage tasks autonomously, but communicating and collaborating with team members and other stakeholders where relevant
Approach work with a commercial attention to detail
Tech savvy, with an ability to quickly learn new systems and understand the interrelationship of each
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with an eye for identifying and implementing process improvements
