ABOUT bp's INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
For penultimate year students, our paid 12-week internship programme run from November to February each year. Our programme spans across a broad range of commercial and engineering functions. Whichever route you choose, you’ll get a role which will add value to our business – with your own responsibilities and an opportunity to shine. Our internships give you an insight into the real world of business. You’ll do real work and projects that that impact BP, our stakeholders and our customers. In some instances, you might also have the opportunity to take on part-time work after you’ve completed your internship with us.

bp have set up an online platform called ‘The Skills Refinery’ to help students develop the essential professional skills students will need to be successful in the future of work, based on research from the World Economic Forum. Anyone can join, the more the merrier.
There is a self-assessment which helps students to identify which soft skills they need to work on, then they get to participate in a number of online learning modules. It culminates in a competition for those who wish to enter, with the winner being invited to the 2019 One Young World Conference (all expenses paid).
