The successful intern would get exposure to the following duties:

1. Contract Administrator (Project set up, Claims & Reporting)

Read the contract thoroughly and make a schedule of all contract requirements that are required for the project.
Prepare a procurement schedule with all supplier and subcontractor packages.
Ensure all tenders include everything within the tender.
Undertake a quote comparison for each package in Excel format for approval from senior management.
Claims must be prepared and ready for senior management comments by the 23rd of each month.
The claims document to senior management must have an attachment with all payables for the month.
A single spreadsheet will be sent to the CAs for approval of all invoices.
Monthly financial reporting needs to be completed and added to a monthly report, which needs to be sent to senior management two days before the end of the month.
A project forecast needs to be attached to the report that has been updated.

2. Estimator

Coordinate assigned tender or bid submissions, ensuring they receive an appropriate amount of attention from the relevant parties and are submitted on time.
Undertake measurement, pricing, and comparative analysis for assigned tenders or bids.
Develop project programs for assigned tenders or bids.
Coordinate with the construction, as appropriate to ensure resident skills are used to develop the best possible tender or bid.
Manage the selection of subcontractors to submit quotes on assigned tenders or bids, including sending out requirements to those selected, following-up on their progress, and reviewing final submissions.
