If you're studying a relevant degree and want to gain practical, real-world experience in an aged care setting, this program helps apply your learning, develop skills and learn from established professionals.

New graduates

If you've recently finished your degree and would like work experience that complements your studies, you may be able to join the program and combine the work experience placements with an accredited WIL program.

About Internship Tasks and Activities

Your internship host organisation will be matched with your study background, internship needs and location. Whilst your work experience placement tasks with depend on your study background and your particular host company, your internship could include things like:

  • Observing and learning about customer service and management
  • Developing an understanding of the aged care sector including funding and accreditation
  • Learning about different types of aged care settings and systems of documentation
  • Observing and learning about managing clinical cases involving musculoskeletal, neurological and cardio-respiratory conditions

What's Included in the Program

CareerDC charges a fee for the coordination and facilitation of the internship program. The coordination service includes:
