CareerDC Internships charges a coordination fee for each internship program. The service includes a tailored CV update, host company matching, interview coordination and scheduling, interview coaching, a work experience placement relevant to your studies, academic credit or an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course (as applicable) and a letter of completion at the end of the placement.

Who can apply for the program

Current architecture students in Australia

• Ideal for international students in Australian universities
• You want local work experience relevant to your degree
• You need a placement that gives you academic credit

New graduates and students without a placement requirement

• You want Australian work experience to complement your degree
• You've recently graduated
• Your degree does not include an internship component
• You may be able to apply for the program and combine your placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program

On internship host companies and tasks

Your 12-week internship placement will be coordinated to align with your academic background, work experience needs, preferred location and availability. Example host companies include:

• An architectural interior design practice
• A residential architecture company
• A multi-sector architectural team leading a range of building projects

Your specific responsibilities will depend on your host company but could include learning experiences such as:

• Planning procedures, building codes and day-to-day architectural workflows
• 3D rendering, drafting, visualisations and documentation
• Design presentations, procurement processes and client-focused deliverables
