Since 2011, we've been assisting local and international students in Australia in gaining degree-relevant work experience by facilitating internship programs and placements with local host companies.
On Hosts and Learning Experiences
Your 12-week placement will be coordinated to match your academic background, internship requirements and preferred location, start date and total length. To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:
- A building and civil construction company that specialises in consultation in geotechnical engineering
- A construction company specialising in luxury townhouse construction
- A company specialising in large-scale projects and sustainable structures
As another example, and depending on your host company, your internship placement could include learning experiences such as:
- Preparing technical drawings with CAD, GIS or other software
- Supporting design risk assessment and project planning
- Assisting with cost estimation, budgeting and reporting
- Contributing to tender documentation and contract administration
- Reviewing building codes, zoning ordinances, and other regulations that might apply to a specific project
