CareerDC Internships charges a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, host company matching, interview training, interviews coordinated and scheduled for you, unlimited interviews to achieve a placement, an internship placement relevant to your studies, academic credit (as applicable) or an accredited WIL course (where needed) and a certificate of completion at the end of the experience.

Who the Program Is For

• Current engineering students in Australian colleges and universities
  Ideal for current students or recent graduates in Australia, this program provides hands-on work experience and can earn you academic credit towards your degree. The Internship Program is especially beneficial for international engineering students or recent graduates from Australian universities who need practical local work experience. Domestic students are also welcome to apply.
• Recent graduates or students without an internship requirement
  If you have recently graduated or if your degree does not require an internship placement, you may be able to take part and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

About CareerDC

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC Internships. We are a work experience placement coordinator. Since 2011, we've been assisting local and international students in Australia in gaining degree-relevant work experience by facilitating internship programs and placements with local host companies.

On Hosts and Learning Experiences

Your 12-week placement will be coordinated to match your academic background, internship requirements and preferred location, start date and total length. To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:

• A building and civil construction company that specialises in consultation in geotechnical engineering
• A construction company specialising in luxury townhouse construction
• A company specialising in large-scale projects and sustainable structures

As another example, and depending on your host company, your internship placement could include learning experiences such as:

• Preparing technical drawings with CAD, GIS or other software
• Supporting design risk assessment and project planning
• Assisting with cost estimation, budgeting and reporting
• Contributing to tender documentation and contract administration
• Reviewing building codes, zoning ordinances, and other regulations that might apply to a specific project

Program Overview

The Civil Engineering Internship Program includes:

• A customised internship placement
• CV and interview preparation
• Interview coordination with host companies
• A certificate of completion at the end of the placement

Note that a coordination fee applies and covers the complete placement service.
