Who Can Apply

Students in Australian universities and colleges

• The internship program is a great fit for you if you are looking to get practical work experience relevant to your studies and get academic credit for the internship experience. It's a particularly excellent option for international students who are studying Construction or Construction Management in Australia and who want work experience with local Australian companies.
• The program is also open to domestic students.

New graduates and students without an internship requirement

• If your degree does not have an internship component or if you have graduated already, you may be able to enrol in the program and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

About the Host Companies and Learning Experiences

As an example, the internship host companies include:

• A company with in-house specialists offering professional construction solutions to its clients;
• A longstanding construction company; and
• A design company specialising in carpentry and drywall services

As another example, and depending on your host company, your internship could include any of the following types of tasks and learning experiences:

• Assisting with on-site communication with clients and supervision of workers.
• Assisting with workflow management using the project management app Click Up.
• Assisting with construction tenders and methodology.
• Assisting site engineers with procurement.
• Learning about the day-to-day activities of projects on-site.
• Learning about project analysis and project management.
