Who Can Apply?

• University students, including international and local students studying in Australian universities who want to meet their degree requirements, gain academic credit and apply their information systems skills in real-world scenarios.
• Recent graduates and students who don't have an internship requirement in their degree may be able to join the program and combine their work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program to gain study-relevant industry experience and develop their work-readiness.

On Host Companies, Tasks and Learning Experiences

Your 12-week internship placement will be matched to your preferences, including the start date, location and length of placement. Example host companies include:

• A company specialising in technology solutions for business, logistics, and transport
• An international consultancy business based in Australia
• An IT company servicing small and medium-sized businesses across Australia

Depending on your host company, your tasks and learning experiences may include:

• Learning about database management, including data modelling, implementation, and maintenance
• Getting experience in app development and reviewing flow charts to optimise business processes
• Being involved in performance reports and learning to use internal software systems
• Gaining exposure to tools like Figma or other collaborative software suites
