Who can apply

• Current students in Australia
  The 12-week program is a great fit for international students in Australia who want to get study-related experience with an Australian company and gain academic credit for the internship. It is suitable for domestic students as well.
• New graduates and students without internship requirement
  If you are a new graduate or your degree does not require an internship, you can still enrol in the Information Systems Internship Program and combine your work experience placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

The internship program is coordinated by CareerDC. We are work experience placement facilitators who help students in Australia get work experience through study-related internship placements.

On host companies and internship tasks

Every 12-week internship is matched to fit your degree, goals, schedule and preferred location. The internship host companies include software businesses, consulting companies and and IT support providers, among others. Your internship could include any of the following types of learning experiences, depending on the host company:

• Assisting with the maintenance of databases and system upgrades
• Supporting app development and contributing to process automation
• Learning about preparing reports and data interpretations for business decision-making
• Getting involved in mapping systems and documenting workflows with tools like Figma
