The service includes a CV update, host company matching, interview coordination and scheduling, interview coaching, a work experience placement aligned with your degree, academic credit or an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course as applicable and a letter of completion at the end of the placement.

On Host Companies and Work Experience Tasks

The 12-week work experience placement is matched to your academic background, internship needs, preferred location and availability. Example host companies include:

• A company in asset management supporting industries with performance optimisation and sustainable practices
• A steel manufacturer specialising in laser cutting and bending
• An engineering company delivering a range of technical assessments

Your internship placement tasks and learning experiences will depend on your host company but may include:

• Mechanical systems performance evaluations
• Lifecycle plans
• Estimates and works orders for fabrication jobs
• Liaising with subcontractors
• Producing SolidWorks drawings
• Supporting laboratory testing of whitegoods
• Analysing energy efficiency
• Preparing technical reports
