Cadet Accountant Full-time - Fixed-term Position Number: 10026                   Location: Queanbeyan The Package: $874.80 - $1,285.76 per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Trainee grade 4 -10 of the QPRC Salary System 2025). Includes fully funded bachelor’s degree + study leave. Fulltime – 35 hours per week including four hours of study time. You'll gain real‑world experience while studying a relevant degree funded by Council. In this role you will:

• Support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Assist with accounting tasks, including cost tracking and cashflow forecasts.
• Maintain XLOne reports to support financial reporting and grants management.
• Develop skills in asset accounting, Interpreting and applying Australian Accounting Standards and using the TechOne financial systems.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is eligible to enrol in, or currently completing a relevant finance or business degree.
• Communicates clearly with strong attention to detail.
• Can organise their workload, manage deadlines and balance study and work.
• Shows initiative, curiosity and a willingness to learn financial systems and processes.
