The Package: $874.80 - $1,285.76 gross per week + 12% super. (Evaluated as Trainee Grade 4 – 10 of the QPRC Salary System 2025). Position is full-time – 35 hours per week. This role is much more than just writing – it’s about shaping the narrative of our region and helping residents understand the work that builds a better future. This role includes completing a free bachelor’s degree, paid by Council. In this role you will:

• Research, write and edit content for Council publications, social media and website pages. This includes developing media releases, online news stories and articles.
• Produce video stories and images promoting Council and community activities.
• Support the delivery of internal communication campaigns.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can satisfy enrolment in and ongoing study requirements for a Bachelor of Communication and Media.
• Is capable of working both independently and as part of a high performing team.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
