Commencing in January 2026, for a period of two years, we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Surveyor to join Maitland City Council.
As a Graduate Surveyor, you will support the delivery of surveying services for the capital works program, property development and planning teams to assist with infrastructure projects, land management, and spatial data collection.
In this role, you will be mentored and supported to become a candidate surveyor. You will gain practical experience towards your professional registration and develop your technical skills with hands on learning that focuses on both field and office aspects of the role of a surveyor. You will build a well-rounded and rewarding career in the surveying industry, whilst directly contributing to the growth and improvement of our local community.
About you
10-10-2025- To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Completion of bachelor's degree in surveying, spatial science, or related discipline that is a recognised qualification from the Board of Surveying and Spatial
- Information (BOSSI) within the previous two (2) years or by January 2026.
- Contemporary industry knowledge of surveying principles, practices and relevant legislation.
- Experience and understanding of interpreting and calculating technical drawings, maps and spatial data.
- Current Class C driver's licence.
