Are you a motivated and outgoing senior high school student looking to gain hands-on customer service experience in a vibrant community space? Springwood and Katoomba Libraries are seeking enthusiastic Junior Library Assistants to join our weekend team. Under the guidance and mentorship of Branch Librarians and experienced staff, you’ll help deliver a friendly, efficient, and welcoming library service. In this role, you will:

• Provide library circulation services to customers (check in and out library items)
• Answer customer enquiries and share information about library programs and services
• Sort and shelve books and materials quickly and accurately
• Keep shelves tidy and well-organised
• Help set up displays and support library events
• Support customers with technology, including public computers, photocopiers, and the library catalogue
• Process payments for library services

Hours will be weekends (either Saturday or Sunday) from 11.45am to 2.45pm at either Katoomba or Springwood Library. Remuneration: based on applicant age (15-17 years) + 25% casual loading + 12% superannuation + performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary + annual award increase For further information contact: Michelle Falson on 0457 047 324.
