About the role Are you ready to launch your engineering career in a dynamic and community-focused environment? Inner West Council is seeking a motivated Student or Graduate Asset Engineer to join our Infrastructure Planning team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in infrastructure planning and asset management across diverse asset classes, contributing directly to the development and improvement of our vibrant local area. In this role, you’ll work under professional guidance to investigate infrastructure issues, support future works programs, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions. You’ll apply your technical knowledge to real-world challenges, prepare reports, and help shape the future of our community’s infrastructure all while building your skills in a supportive and purpose-driven workplace.   • Recently completed or currently studying and working towards the completion of a Civil Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers Australia
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake detailed investigations and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully self-manage work assignments to achieve goals and objectives
  • Understanding and commitment to equity and diversity, work health and safety, ethical practice and acting with probity at all times
