About the role Are you passionate about shaping sustainable infrastructure that makes a real difference in the community? In this role, you will assist and undertake investigating, designing, and delivering road, traffic, and transport projects that support Council’s vision for a connected and thriving region.You will be hands-on with everything from infrastructure investigations and surveys to concept development, stakeholder engagement, and environmental impact reviews. Your expertise will help create innovative design solutions, prepare specifications, and estimate project costs, while ensuring projects meet timelines and deliver sustainable outcomes.As part of our collaborative team, you’ll contribute to Council’s social, environmental, economic, and governance objectives outlined in the Community Strategic Plan. You’ll work closely with Project Control Groups, share ideas across departments, and help solve complex challenges to achieve successful project outcomes.   • Recently completed or successfully undertaking latter years of tertiary studies towards the completion of a Civil Engineering Degree recognised by Engineers’ Australia.
  • Ability to complete civil engineering survey and design projects under professional guidance.
  • High level of computer literacy skills and ability to use typical corporate and workplace software applications. Familiarisation with the use of computer aided design packages.
  • Ability to successfully self-manage work assignments to achieve goals and objectives.
