As a Legal Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Crown Prosecutors and Legal Officers in preparing and presenting cases in court. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be guided and supported to undertake a range of tasks, including:

  • Assisting with the preparation of prosecution briefs for trial and sentencing.
  • Gathering additional information such as witness statements and criminal history checks.
  • Communicating with police officers, legal practitioners, and court staff.
  • Managing court-related filing and maintaining accurate records.
  • Organising and maintaining a reliable bring-up system for case tracking.
  • Preparing and coordinating the service of subpoenas.
  • Providing sensitive and respectful communication to victims and witnesses.
  • Participating in regional court circuits (up to three weeks), offering exposure to diverse legal settings.
