About this role
As a Graduate Property Portfolio Officer at TMR, you’ll help manage the department’s statewide property portfolio, which includes both future project sites and current assets. These properties generate over $50 million in rental income through commercial and residential leases, licence agreements, and advertising or telecommunication contracts.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Provide specialist property management advice across a diverse portfolio.
- Oversee leasing arrangements for commercial and residential properties, boat harbours, advertising, and telecommunication contracts infrastructure.
- Ensure value-for-money, efficiency, and performance in property operations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including tenants and leasing agents to support strategic property outcomes.
Specialisations and development:
- Rotate across two core teams:
- Residential Property Management – supporting tenancy coordination, maintenance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercial Property Management – assisting with leasing, compliance, and property performance monitoring.
- Develop practical skills in:
- Property leasing and tenancy management
- Maintenance coordination and contractor liaison
- Asset management and property data systems
- Customer service and stakeholder communication
- Gain exposure to:
- Government property frameworks and compliance standards
- Strategic planning for property portfolios
- Cross-functional collaboration with infrastructure and legal teams
- Build professional capabilities through:
- Mentoring and on-the-job coaching
- Networking across property and infrastructure teams
- Opportunities to contribute to process improvements and service delivery innovation
