About this role
As a Graduate Surveyor at TMR, you’ll support transport infrastructure projects across Queensland by providing surveying and geospatial services. You’ll use advanced technologies and techniques to collect accurate data, ensure quality, and help integrate that data into project planning and delivery.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Deliver engineering, cadastral, monitoring, and Global Navigation Satellite System control network surveys.
- Conduct pre-design ground and feature model surveys, construction set-outs, volume calculations, and structural monitoring.
- Provide cadastral services including identification, resumption, and road opening/closing surveys.
- Manage and interpret data from photogrammetry, mobile laser scanning, and airborne laser scanning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units, including Translink, Queensland Rail, Maritime Safety Queensland, and local governments.
Specialisations and development:
- Expertise in remote sensing technologies and geospatial data management.
- Application of survey governance and technical standards in a high-investment infrastructure environment.
- Integration of survey data into strategic planning and project delivery.

Technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor of Surveying
- Bachelor of Surveying Technology (3 Year Full Time equivalent)
- Bachelor of Spatial Science – major in Surveying
- Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology – major in Surveying
- Equivalent qualification, acceptable for registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (SBQ).
