EY

“A career in professional services is a career that can open so many doors. EY is great at providing opportunities to help you grow both as a person and as a professional. You get to work with a fantastic group of individuals that challenge you and want you to succeed. The best experience I’ve had at EY so far has been Grad camp - getting to meet our cohort of assurance graduates, learning some valuable skills and hear from leadership, which was fantastic.” Jeremy, Canberra

EY

“Something I really appreciate about EY are the opportunities for formal and informal learning. As a graduate, we had a 3-day graduate training program in Sydney, with people from all over Australia and New Zealand. This included training on basic consulting skills and business writing, as well as daily social activities. It was also a fantastic opportunity to meet other graduates in different locations. The working environment here is fast paced, and the team is full of motivated, energetic people who I am constantly learning from. Within my current project team, we work flexibly on an ad-hoc basis, working around individual commitments as they come up.” Rachel, Melbourne

Early Career Programs

EY

If you are due to graduate in 2023, you will be eligible for the following EY programs.

EY Cadet Program

As a cadet, you’ll accelerate your development as you combine work with study to get the best of both worlds. Always learning and reaching higher, you’ll be the centre of a supportive team, working on client projects and gaining experiences to help accelerate your studies.

How it works

As a cadet, you'll combine full-time work with part-time university studies. It takes drive and commitment, but we'll provide you with the support you need to succeed. You'll gain valuable experience working with clients and will be exposed to senior managers early so that you can learn from some of the best in the organisation. And don’t worry – we completely understand that this will be your first time working within a professional environment. That’s why we’ll provide you with extensive training, coaching, detailed guidance and skills development. And when you do graduate, the experience you'll have gained through the EY Cadet Program may place you head and shoulders above your peers.

Eligibility

We will consider students from all degrees including accounting, commerce, law, information technology, engineering, information systems and computer science degrees. The EY Cadet Program is currently offered in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

You need to be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.

EY Intern

A day in the life of a Indigenous Intern

After completing his summer internship at EY, Phillip was offered a part-time role as part of the Technology Strategy & Transformation team whilst finishing his STEM degree. Phillip is currently finishing his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Computer and Software Systems.

“Originally from Darwin, I moved to Brisbane to attend boarding school. Currently, I am studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Computer and Software Systems. I started at EY through the Indigenous Internship Program and was lucky enough to obtain a position as a Consultant. My favourite part of my experience so far is being able to work closely with EY clients to help build resilience into their increasingly large and complex IT systems, applications and infrastructures. My EY Technology teams and the Indigenous Sector Services have been extremely supportive and accommodating. They not only understand my work, social and university commitments, but they respect them. The life of a Consultant is both challenging and rewarding. My advice to those who are considering applying would be to remain open, humble and don’t be so hard on yourself.”

EY Indigenous Sector Practice

By joining EY, you have the opportunity to share your knowledge, lived experience and understanding of the issues surrounding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations, in a role and practice where you truly contribute to improved social, economic and cultural outcomes for First Nation’s peoples.
