FactSet's Consultants are the essential connection between our clients and our software business. As a Consultant, after an initial 5 week class room based training period, we invest a great deal in our employees' training and mentoring. As a FactSet Consultant you will be given immediate responsibility, working directly on exciting and challenging projects and delivering business solutions for our clients in either Investment Management or Investment Banking teams.

FactSet Consultants

Consultants are the essential connection between our clients and our software business. Face-to- face contact with leaders in the financial industry allows consultants to form personal relationships with clients and work together to develop more efficient ways to perform research and analysis.

Starting at FactSet as a Consultant allows you to get a broad understanding of our business and Consultants are expected to progress into Consulting Management, Sales or Product Development roles as they develop their careers with FactSet.

To help our consultants reach their full potential, we invest a great deal in our employees’ training and mentoring, starting with our five week new hire programme, which gives insight into our products, our clients, and the financial markets through classroom lectures and hands-on product assignments.

Our company would not be what it is without our people. We promise to invest in your personal and professional development to ensure you have the tools to think critically about a problem, proactively arrive at a solution, and confidently implement it. We want you to know our clients' business!

No matter what department you join, if you are interested in taking the CFA exam, we'll provide five days of PTO prior to the exam, reimbursement for exam and study material fees (pending a passing grade), and a bonus for each level achieved. Historically, FactSetters have passed Level I of the CFA exam at a rate of 69%, compared to the national average of 35%. We also encourage employees to pursue CIPM, CAIA, and FRM designations and cover the costs of those exams for some teams.
