The full-time position of Graduate Project Engineer is based at our manufacturing facility situated at Josephville, located approximately 90 km south of Brisbane.

About the Role:

This new Graduate Project Engineer position will provide our newest team member with immense opportunities for professional development and career progression alongside the sustained growth of our company.

Working as part of a small, yet experienced projects and capital improvements team in a fast-paced environment, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects and have important functions that guide the development of our future. Reporting to the Capex Manager, and working in conjunction with our Project Engineer, you will perform important tasks key to the ongoing operation and expansion of our site, such as:

Assisting the Project Engineer and Capex Manager to monitor works for compliance with applicable codes and agreed project specifications.
Completing assigned project documentation, including technical drawings, project briefs, project schedules / timelines, risk assessments, handover documents, etc.
Supporting the Project Engineer to resolve technical issues in collaboration with onsite and offsite project teams.
Supporting the project scheduler and management team to streamline project timelines and coordinate engineering activities.
Participating in client / contractor meetings and project meetings, providing technical and engineering support to the project and capital improvements team.
Assisting in concept preparation (e.g., mass & heat balance calculations) and project set-up.
Assisting in the collection and dissemination of technical information between / within the company, contractors, and other clients.
Assisting in preparation of quotations, reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits, designs, plans, and project specifications.

About You:

To be considered an ideal candidate for this position, you will have / be:

Tertiary degree/or equivalent in relevant discipline (i.e. Electrical (highly desired), Mechanical, Chemical / Process, Environmental Engineering, etc.)
Project Engineering skills desirable, however, these can be developed on-the-job experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
Competent in the use of relevant software:
- Essential: Electronic 2D drawing software, MS Office Suite
- Desirable: Electronic 3D drawing software, Project scheduling / management software
Detail-oriented
Willingness to actively interact with project tangibles to prove theoretical concepts
Ability to troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions to drive efficiency improvements
Adaptable and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Current Driver’s License
