About the Role

 It is an exciting time to be part of the energy transition at Jacobs as our Energy & Power business continues to experience rapid growth. We are working with established clients across the globe to deliver the Energy Transition. From major renewable energy projects to high voltage direct current inter country interconnectors and offshore grids, we’re integrating a multitude of these solution elements to build a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

Jacobs offers a full range of Energy & Power project services from pre-feasibility and concept design, through to detailed design, owner’s engineering support and site supervision. We are looking for a motivated person who is enthusiastic to work with project teams and clients, primarily within the Generation sector, with the opportunity to work across other areas such as Transmission & Distribution, Power Systems and Industrial Power projects. Our scope of services is typically a mix of consulting, owner’s engineering, and due diligence services.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Energy Engineer to join our Melbourne Energy & Power Generation team in 2025. In this role you’ll work alongside other Energy & Power engineers, Environmental consultants and other disciplines across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, helping our clients to develop, construct and operate power generation projects that support Australia’s, and the world’s, sustainable future. You will work across a range of generation technologies, further developing your understanding of energy engineering principles, with mentorship from the Jacobs team every step of the way to discuss and foster your most effective career path.

Here’s What You’ll Need

 Ideally, by January 2025 you’ll hold a degree in either Mechanical, Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering or a related discipline. This is a unique role that requires applicants to hold the right to work in Australia. Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together .
