Health, Safety and Environment Cadet (Sydney)

This role will see you based on one of our Mirvac Construction sites, supporting the project(s) HSE team and Workplace Manager(s) in the day-to-day implementation of the Mirvac HSE Management Systems and Workplace Risk Management Plans. You will gain broad exposure to HSE construction onsite activities whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and codes of practice, and Mirvac Group HSE objectives and targets onsite.

Cadetship Structure

At Mirvac you will be supported by management, a 'buddy' and mentors, as well as included in a range of networking opportunities with business stakeholders and leaders.

These opportunities are 11-month fixed term contract roles, commencing in February 2025, with the potential to be made permanent.

Am I eligible for the Cadetship program?

If you meet the following criteria, please apply:

  • Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
  • To make the most of your cadetship and obtain maximum exposure to how a construction project is delivered, we require Cadets to commit to working a minimum of 4 days per week and we will provide flexibility around your study requirements aligned to this
  • A Bachelor's or Master's student - minimum second year - from the following disciplines: Construction or Project Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Sustainability
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to problem solve in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Collaborative nature, with the ability to form strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Passionate about delivering customer focused quality, leaving a positive legacy in the communities in which you operate

Applications will be reviewed across August and September. If your application is progressed, you will be asked to complete a video interview and invited to attend an Assessment Centre in October.
