What the controls & communications team does

Our team designs smart building systems that integrate across disciplines, spanning BMS, ICT, networks, data, cloud and cybersecurity.

You’ll work with specialists across mechanical, electrical, sustainability and security to deliver fully integrated solutions.

What you’ll do

As a graduate, you’ll support the design and delivery of smart building systems, including:

  • BMS design, audits and optimisation
  • ICT infrastructure (networks, wireless, cloud)
  • reviewing designs, documentation and contractor proposals
  • testing and commissioning activities
  • working with engineers and clients to deliver practical solutions
  • coordinating with other disciplines to ensure system integration
  • supporting data, performance and cybersecurity outcomes

About our graduate program

Our two-year program builds your consulting and technical skills. You will work with clients, learn how projects move from sketch to site and grow your confidence as a trusted adviser. You will join social and networking events, rotate across disciplines and get hands on experience that sets you up for a strong career.

Must haves

  • Near completion of, or recently completed, a relevant degree in engineering, ICT, mechatronics, Electrical or a related discipline
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Curious mindset with problem solving skills
  • Available to start in 2027
  • Full Australian working rights for the duration of the program

Nice to haves

  • Exposure to analysis or modelling tools used in your stream
  • Familiarity with Australian Standards, the NCC and rating frameworks
  • Internship, research or site experience
  • Interest in data, coding or visualisation
