What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for a fire engineering graduate with a deep interest in the science of fire, human behaviour and how buildings work. With opportunities in our Melbourne and Brisbane offices, we’re looking for an all-rounder. You’ll be good at solving technical problems, carrying out research, report writing, learning about and applying advanced modelling software and communicating complex ideas in a simple way.

Our global team provides fire safety strategies and solutions that enable architectural freedom and protect people, property and the environment from the effects of fire.

About you

As well as being a student who has graduated, or is about to, with a Masters in Fire Safety Engineering, you have:

  • a genuine interest in fire safety, sustainability and the built environment
  • excellent organisational skills including the ability to juggle projects, stakeholders, timelines and budgets
  • an interest in people and what makes them tick
  • strong communication skills.

We want to help you harness your full potential and make a significant contribution to the built environment.

About NDY and our Graduate Program

At NDY, our purpose is simple: Making Spaces Work.

Our Graduate Program is designed to help you kick-start your career in the built environment. We’re looking for curious, motivated grads who want to grow into tomorrow’s leaders and we’ll give you the tools, support and real-world experience to get there.

You’ll also gain hands-on experience in consulting, which includes working directly with clients, understanding their needs and learning how to build strong, professional relationships. In the process, you’ll build technical skills and learn what it takes to become a trusted advisor.

Over the 2-year program, you’ll take part in:

  • onsite and virtual workshops
  • technical training delivered by specialists at NDY
  • social and networking events
  • opportunities to rotate across disciplines
  • regular check-ins with senior leaders.

It’s a program built to help you grow professionally and personally, with the support of a team that wants to see you succeed.
