What you’ll be doing

As a sustainability graduate, you’ll help design buildings and systems that are energy-efficient, environmentally responsible and built for the future.

From day one, you’ll be part of a team that’s passionate about creating high-performance buildings that meet the needs of people and the planet. You’ll work on real projects across sectors like commercial, health, education, and transport — applying your knowledge to reduce carbon footprints, improve occupant wellbeing and drive innovation in sustainable design.

During your graduate program you’ll be:

• Collaborate with dynamic design teams to embed cutting-edge sustainable solutions at every stage of the design process – you’ll participate in stakeholder engagement workshops, design team meetings and even get out on project sites
• Champion the design and implementation of sustainable building solutions utilising specialised software to perform energy, indoor environment quality and carbon assessments
• Immerse yourself in the world of global sustainability rating frameworks like Green Star, NABERS, WELL, and GRESB, mastering their application to elevate project performance and demonstrate commitment to sustainable excellence
• Get invaluable hands-on experience by preparing compelling project proposals and presentations that showcase innovative sustainability strategies and position NDY as a leader in the industry
• Dive into the exciting world of networking by participating in events, conferences, and professional associations that amplify NDY's sustainability initiatives while broadening your professional horizons in the sustainability sector.

Our Graduate Program is designed to help you kick-start your career in the built environment. We’re looking for curious, motivated grads who want to grow into tomorrow’s leaders and we’ll give you the tools, support and real-world experience to get there.

You’ll also gain hands-on experience in consulting, which includes working directly with clients, understanding their needs and learning how to build strong, professional relationships. In the process, you’ll build technical skills and learn what it takes to become a trusted advisor.
