Rabo Graduate Program offers a unique opportunity for university graduates to forge a meaningful career path through Rabobank.

Our 18-month program provides a platform to experience a variety of Rabobank career options. Whether it’s connecting with colleagues in Sydney’s head office, working with clients on the ground in our regional and rural branches, or potentially even enjoying an international rotation in our global head office in Utrecht, you can be part of the team helping our clients feed the world more sustainably.

Sustainability Graduate

Be a part of the growing Sustainability team that translates, communicates, and embeds sustainability into Rabobank’s broader agenda and supporting the Bank to deliver on a range of commitments and obligations including emissions reductions, climate risk, nature, and modern slavery.

The Sustainability team’s role at Rabobank includes supporting and facilitating farm practice change as part of our commitment as a transition bank. This exciting graduate role will be exposed to all key sustainability functions and contributing to the key deliverables for both the Global Sustainability Strategy and the Regional Sustainability Plan. Through the rotations, the Sustainability Graduate will be providing data analysis and insights on strategy and portfolio steering activities, supporting policy implementation and the roll-out of sustainability assessment frameworks; and involved in ESG monitoring, reporting and assessment.

This graduate will be mentored to develop specific subject matter expertise on the new mandatory climate reporting and disclosure requirements outlined in the Treasury Laws Amendment(Financial Market Infrastructure and Other Measures) Bill 2024.

To develop a well-rounded knowledge of the bank, you will also be placed on three short-term rotations within risk and compliance, rural or regional branch, and operations. Selected Graduates will also be placed on a short-term international rotation to connect with colleagues in our global head office in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

About You

• Final year undergraduate or postgraduate student, or have recently graduated within the last three years.
• Degree qualification in environmental science, sustainability, social sciences, or other relevant disciplines.
• Available to start full time employment from February 2025.
• Australia or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Demonstrated knowledge and interest in ESG, natural resource management, climate and environment science, and/or human rights.
• Passion for the food and agribusiness industry would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated with ability to plan and organise self.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi task and prioritise work.
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication at all levels both written and verbal.
