The Shire of Gingin is a progressive local government situated on the northern fringe of the Perth Metropolitan Area and is strategically located within close proximity to the business centres of Midland, Ellenbrook, Wanneroo and Joondalup. The Shire encompasses both rural and urban environments, including five growing town sites and approximately 70 kilometres of coastline. Covering 3,215 km2, the Shire stretches from the coastal towns of Guilderton, Seabird, Ledge Point, Lancelin and inland to the Gingin town site.
