About The Role

The Graduate Risk and Trade Commercial Analyst supports the development and execution of customer‑led pricing strategies, contributing to commercial outcomes across the Sportsbook. Working closely with teams across Trading, Risk, Product, Data Science, Technology and Global functions, this role provides analytical support, helps implement pricing approaches, and assists in delivering insights that inform key commercial decisions.

The role offers exposure to sophisticated pricing strategies, performance analysis, and customer value proposition development across key betting products, while building foundational skills in commercial thinking, stakeholder engagement, and data‑driven decision making.

As part of a forward‑thinking team, the role also embraces agentic AI and advanced analytics capabilities to enhance how we operate supporting more efficient analysis, improving insight generation, and contributing to innovative approaches in pricing and commercial decision‑making.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

Risk & Trade Data, Insights & Performance

  • Support the analysis of Risk & Trading data to identify trends in betting activity, margins and pricing, contributing to insights that inform decision making
  • Assist in prioritising and progressing data initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders and supporting backlog tracking and delivery
  • Contribute to the use of AI tools and automation to improve efficiency in analysis, reporting and insight generation

Sports Price Assurance

  • Support pricing accuracy and integrity by monitoring key markets (e.g. AFL, NRL) and assisting in identifying and escalating potential pricing risks
  • Contribute to maintaining controls and reporting by supporting monitoring processes, KPI tracking and regular performance reporting
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives by working with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to enhance pricing models and product performance

AI Transformation

  • Explore and apply emerging AI tools to support team workflows, helping improve efficiency and ways of working across Risk & Trading
  • Use AI enabled tools (e.g. LLMs, automation platforms) to assist in building analytics, dashboards and simple prototypes that enhance team capability and insight delivery

About You

We’re passionate about development and provide on-the-job training, but we also want to set you up for success. To thrive in this graduate role, we’re looking for someone who brings the following:

  • Foundational analytical capability, with a strong numerical or data background and the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly
  • Exposure to data tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Python, or BI tools) and a willingness to develop technical and analytical skills on the job
  • AI-enabled and data-driven, confidently leveraging AI, automation and advanced analytics to enhance decision-making, optimise processes and scale impact across Risk & Trading 
  • Commercially savvy decision maker, using data, market insight and critical thinking to make high-quality, outcome-focused decisions 
  • Influential communicator and collaborator, building strong relationships, aligning stakeholders, and working effectively across teams and global markets
