About the Roles & You
Kick-start your career with Sportsbet’s Graduate Program, where you can choose from two exciting streams: Data Science and Software Engineering. Both streams offer a dynamic, collaborative environment, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to work on real-world projects that impact millions of customers.
Whether you're passionate about solving complex problems with code or uncovering insights through data, you’ll be supported by experienced mentors, work across different teams, and be empowered to grow your technical and professional skills.
Graduate Data Scientist
As a Graduate Data Scientist in our Risk & Pricing team, you’ll work on meaningful projects that shape betting experiences and manage risk. Using tools like Python, Spark, R, and Databricks, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full data science lifecycle—from model design and deployment to monitoring and maintenance.
You'll collaborate with stakeholders, apply MLOps best practices, and explore emerging tech such as AI and machine learning, all while building scalable models that drive real business value.
You’ll thrive in this stream if you:
Love using data to solve real-world problems
Have experience with Python or R and a strong quantitative mindset
Enjoy thinking abstractly and working with ambiguity
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
Are excited by AI, automation, and continuous learning
Graduate Software Engineer
As a Graduate Software Engineer, you’ll work across the full tech stack to build and support platforms used by millions of customers. You’ll gain experience with technologies like Java/.NET, React, Node.js, and TypeScript, while contributing to real product delivery in areas like web, mobile, backend services, and DevOps.
You'll rotate through at least two delivery teams, giving you exposure to different systems, practices, and technologies. From building features and writing clean code to supporting live platforms and experimenting with AI-driven tools, you’ll be part of a team that values quality, agility, and innovation.
You’ll thrive in this stream if you:
Have a strong interest in full stack development
Enjoy building responsive, scalable, and user-friendly applications
Are eager to learn new technologies and work in an agile team
Communicate effectively and collaborate well with others
Pay attention to detail and are excited about delivering high-quality software
What We’re Looking For
Across both streams, we’re looking for graduates who are:
Curious, creative, and passionate about solving problems
Strong communicators who work well in teams
Comfortable with ambiguity and open to learning new things
Detail-oriented, driven, and committed to doing great work
