About the role

As a Logistics Officer (Container Control), you’ll be at the centre of Swire operations in Australia, ensuring smooth container movements. This is your chance to learn from industry leaders, work with cutting edge systems and play a key role in keeping international trade moving.

Some of the key responsibilities and accountabilities:

· Manage container tracking and ensure accurate, real-time updates across global systems 

· Collaborate with depots and vendors to keep stock flowing and equipment in top shape 

· Partner with Customer Excellence and Imports teams to maintain data integrity 

· Forecast and optimize export stock levels to reduce surplus and improve efficiency 

· Drive process improvements and tackle root causes – your ideas matter here! 

· Work with global teams and advanced platforms like SAP, PHOENIX, and MEDIUS FLOW 

· Handle procurement and invoice processing with precision and speed

Skills / experience required:

· University entrance (or equivalent) with further qualifications well regarded, especially in Business.

· Formal Industry Qualifications in the Supply Chain, Logistics, Cargo Management or equivalent.

· Well-developed communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills

· Handle high volume of customer inquiries/activities

· Ability to converse with people of all levels and is well organised, efficient and effective.

· Excellent team player and able to work effectively under pressure

· Ability to learn new concepts and procedures quickly and efficiently

· High level of skill in dispute resolution

· Works independently with limited supervision
