Position Overview: 

We are seeking a forward-thinking CRM Strategy & Growth Marketing Intern to help shape our customer engagement architecture. This 6-month, part-time role sits at the intersection of growth marketing, data analytics, and high-level IT systems design. Your primary focus will be analyzing local and global competitor landscapes to help us build a sophisticated, data-driven CRM blueprint. You will assist in designing a strategy that optimizes customer attraction and retention within Australia, while ensuring the underlying strategy and architecture is built to scale seamlessly across global markets.

Responsibilities: 

• Competitor Mapping: Conduct comprehensive global and local market research to map competitor CRM tactics, and lifecycle marketing strategies. 

• CRM Strategy Formulation: Outline strategic approaches for both the Australian market and international expansion, focusing on best practices for new customer attraction and long-term retention. 

•  Data & Segmentation: Analyze customer data sets to identify actionable audience segments and design personalized, automated lifecycle journeys. 

•  Systems Architecture Alignment: Evaluate and provide a high-level view of modern IT systems and CRM designs to ensure our technical capabilities directly support our strategic marketing ambitions. 

•  Insights & Reporting: Translate data analysis and competitor benchmarks into clear, actionable frameworks for corporate growth. 

• Extracting, cleaning, and preparing eCommerce data using SQL 

• Analysing eCommerce and marketing performance data to derive actionable insights 

• Supporting the design and analysis of A/B testing 

• Monitoring key KPIs such as CVR, AOV, and LTV, and identifying trends and opportunities 

• Building dashboards and visualisations using Tableau or Excel

 

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: 

• Educational Background: Current student (final year) or recent graduate in Marketing, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. 

• Core Marketing Knowledge: Solid foundational understanding of CRM principles, data-driven personalization, and customer segmentation techniques. 

• Technical Literacy: A high-level grasp of modern IT systems design and CRM infrastructures connect to support marketing capabilities. 

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation (e.g. joins, aggregations) 

• Strong Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, data analysis) and/or experience with Tableau or similar visualisation tools 

• Understanding of A/B testing principles and experimentation methodologies (preferred) 

• Comfortable working with key eCommerce metrics such as conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and lifetime value (LTV) (preferred) 

• Basic understanding of digital marketing and customer behaviour analysis is a plus 

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to dive into data, recognize trends, and translate metrics into strategic marketing recommendations. 

• Strategic & Global Mindset: Ability to evaluate local market nuances while thinking critically about global scalability and competitor benchmarking. 

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present strategic concepts to stakeholders.
