Westpac - HR Operations Associate

This position provides operational support for Westpac Group HR systems and champions the implementation of PeopleHQ as the new “HR front door” for all people systems. The role manages approvals and controls including position creation and maintenance, recruitment approvals, onboarding activities and internal transfers. It also provides services related to HR administration, pre-employment checks, employment verifications, and HR service-related administration and transactions.

This role is responsible for:

Operational Support for HR Systems

  • Provides operational system maintenance, basic configuration and content management across Westpac Group HR systems including eAcademy, HRSC Portal, Learning, People Policy Centre (PPC), Taleo, System password resets and PeopleXpress
  • Manages HR system approval workflows and controls including position creation, modifications, maintenance
  • Provides system transaction support and related administration, including bulk uploads
  • Triage system issues for second level support

Recruitment Administration

  • Manages HR system recruitment processing including RTRs, role creation in Taleo
  • Manages onboarding activities including system and manual onboarding, internal transfers, temp to perm conversions, preidentified internal transfer recruitment process
  • Administering payment of employee referral programs
  • Global mobility recruitment administration processing

Manage pre-employment process

  • Manage pre-employment and employee due diligence processes - e.g. employment verifications, reference checks, background checks, unlocking for onboarding

HR Letters

  • Manage manual offer letters and secondment letters
  • Manage career transition letters and packs, retrenchment and redeployment letters

HR Service Centre Team Support

  • Provide employee and leader support for PeopleHQ as required (with particular focus across each release phase)
  • Support the other teams across HRSC and payroll in the case of overflow

Delivers value through innovation

  • Creatively identifies and champions productivity improvements through identification and implementing process improvements and undertaking of defined tasks or projects
  • Adopts agile project methodology to deliver initiatives through Sprints

Advocating and influencing

  • Advocates for the cultural and behavioural change required in the Workforce Revolution strategy for the HR job family
  • Advocates the HR Service Delivery Model and supports the business and HR team with the next evolution of HRSS
