What We Offer

Learning and Development

We provide learning and development opportunities for all graduates tailored to your career trajectory. This includes the relevant technical skills training as well as personal development and mentoring to support you in meeting your true potential.

Variety

No two days are the same as you gain a deep understanding of how a mine operation operates. You’ll have the opportunity to work in different parts of our business, across our underground mine and our open cut and spend your first year out in the field getting your hands dirty, operating machinery.

Relocation and Accommodation

Our Graduate Program presents an exciting opportunity to relocate to the Gunnedah and Narrabri regions. Whitehaven Coal is here to support your transition by providing relocation assistance and accommodation for your first three months. Following this period, graduates will be responsible for organising their own housing arrangements.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for graduates who are adaptable, keen to learn, resilient and who want to build a rewarding career in mining.  It is essential that you resonate with our core values of safety, teamwork, respect, integrity, value and excellence.
