You will support the delivery of the Responsible Sourcing Program with non-trade suppliers, including service providers, by partnering with internal teams, supplier partners and third party certification schemes to implement the Responsible Sourcing Program in non-trade. 

What you’ll do

Be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for driving the sustainability agenda within Woolworths Group, including working to uphold respect for the human rights of workers within our supply chains. A key focus area of the role is the identification and mitigation of key human rights risks and supporting the Group’s response to the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams, supplier partners and third party certification schemes to support in the delivery of the Responsible Sourcing Program and  deepen understanding of human rights in the Group’s non-trade supplier chain
  • Assist in investigating grievances raised by workers in the Group’s supply chain, in line with developed processes
  • Support in delivery of benchmark responses and external disclosures
  • Identify emerging industry trends and best practise in disclosure
  • Support on corrective action and remediation efforts as they relate to zero tolerance or investigations for high risk suppliers

What you’ll bring

We are offering a part-time entry level position for able to be worked Australia-wide, with hybrid working arrangements, flexible for applicants currently undergoing studies. Reporting to Senior Human Rights and Responsible Sourcing Program Manager, to be successful you will have:

  • Currently enrolled, or recently completed degree or equivalent in human rights, a social discipline, law or related
  • Stakeholder relationship skills (internal parties, suppliers, external stakeholders)  and the ability to build rapport with partners with differing interests and priorities
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Emotional intelligence; recognise, understand and manage emotions in others and yourself
  • Prior experience in the field of responsible sourcing / human rights, compliance and/or auditing is desirable but not essential
