Our host company partner is seeking a talented Cyber Security intern to join their dynamic team! By leveraging their knowledge and expertise, partnering with internal/external stakeholders, and engaging in various cybersecurity-related activities - the intern will have the chance to cultivate their skills while helping increase the client's overall security maturity.
Key Responsabilites & Duties
- Receive tailored security alerts and notifications on the Group’s monitoring platform.
- Quickly detect, analyse and respond to potential cyber security incidents.
- Identify threats and aid with incident detection, log analysis and monitoring.
- Investigate the root cause, scope and impact of critical incidents quickly and efficiently.
- Stay ahead of vulnerability management with patching strategies.
- Support the Operations team through input and documentation creation for the organisation’s cyber security governance framework.
Essential Selection Criteria
- Understanding Microsoft's technology stack and managing a Hybrid on-prem/Azure environment.
- Ability to work with Azure Sentinel or similar platforms, systems administration, SaaS and cloud infrastructure, and enterprise-level networking.
- Able to manage incident handling and remediation, log analysis or forensics.
- Understanding of Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Security Operations, or Cyber Threat Intelligence.
- Ability to work seamlessly in a team, collaboratively with the broader organization, and communicate across various levels and business units.
- A self-starter with an organised and methodical approach who thrives in taking ownership and initiative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity or a related field.
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated Mentor and Placement Consultant to guide, coach and offer career advice throughout the internship placement.
