Want to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment alongside passionate communications, marketing and creative professionals? Do you feel driven to Deliver a Better World?
We are looking for a Communications Advisor to join our Australia New Zealand Client and Marketing team, based in our Brisbane or Melbourne office.
Internally focused, you’ll be part of a team of content developers, communications, creatives and marketing professionals working across AECOM’s four Australia New Zealand regions.
Your work will assist our multi-disciplinary team of 4000+ engineers, planners, project managers and scientists to deliver for our clients on time, every time.
Reporting to the Head of Communications – Australia New Zealand, this role is highly practical.
Working closely with business leaders across our support services functions (Human Resources, Safety, Operations, IT), you’ll be helping drive employee engagement and keeping our business informed and aligned.
As well as being a key proofreader for communications, you will format and coordinate content and messaging for our regular internal communications platforms and contribute to internal communications campaigns and leadership presentations that inform, engage, and draw a smile.
It’s high-volume work where no two days are the same, and no job is too big – or small.
- A flair with words – you’ll know your Oxford commas from your comma splices, and you’ll love proofreading
- Passion for clear, concise communications, and the ability to convert the ‘highly technical’ into the ‘easily understood’
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport and trust
- A focus on detail and planning
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative and relationship building skills
- A sense of humour (non-negotiable; we like to laugh)
- Journalism and/or communications qualification (s) or related discipline
- Some success in employee communications and experience proofing and/or writing for a corporate audience is preferred
- Experience in formatting and distribution of communications
Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you!
