Job summary
The HR  Specialist Intern role is focusing on creating effective mechanism to  draft and govern PxT (People Experience & Technology)/HR processes  to ensure appropriateness, consistency and equity. The role will work on  HR processes and policies to ensure alignment with Amazon Global best  practices. This role will work closely with teams within and outside PxT  with high visibility.

As a HR Specialist Intern you will have  strong stakeholder management, communication skills and be comfortable  working autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous  environment. To be successful, you will be process driven and have  strong focus on standardization. Strong attention to details and  exceptional organizational skills are both preferred qualities.

This role will be based in Sydney.

Key job responsibilities
•  Work on establishing an overall PxT process & policy governance  model and manage the overall process of policy creation, review/update,  implementation and deprecation
• Update, draft and maintain SOPs (standard operating procedures) with stakeholders in standard templates
• Create overall communication plan for process and policy rollout
• Provide training and guidance on policies, processes to internal and external PxT customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently in the penultimate year of a university degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• You must have Australian/New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency at the time you submit your application.
• Knowledge with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)
•  Excellent writing skills, with the ability to present information  clearly and concisely to a wide breadth of stakeholders. You will  interact with various levels of employees to collect and communicate  information.

Please note: Our internship dates are from late  November 2022 to February 2023, you will need to be available for those  dates to be eligible.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•  Exposure to working in Human Resources functions (Business partner or  generalist) or with stakeholders including legal, HR, Operational, and  others required to execute global policy at scale
• Results-oriented – ability to motivate and influence diverse teams
• A fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances and behaviors of Amazon's Operations business
