Join the Audit Office of New South Wales and be part of a legacy of 200 years. The Auditor-General for New South Wales helps the Parliament of NSW hold government accountable for its use of public resources. We conduct independent financial and performance audits across diverse sectors, including NSW Treasury, City of Sydney Council, Taronga Park Zoo, Transport for NSW, the University of Sydney, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the NSW Police Force.

Who we’re looking for: 

We are seeking graduates with accounting degrees recognised by CAANZ, CPA Australia or IPA. We care about academic results but equally important to us is an inquiry-oriented mindset, adaptability, leadership qualities and motivation. 

In this role, you’ll need integrity, maturity, resilience, tenacity, well-developed oral and written communication skills, the ability to work successfully in a team environment, and a keen interest in auditing and the public sector. 

To apply for our graduate program, you'll need to have: 

· Completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past three years (2022, 2023 or 2024) or be due to complete it before February 2025.

· Completed or be completing an accounting degree that meets the entry requirements for you to commence your studies with CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, or the Institute of Public Accountants program. 

· Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency (at the time of application).
