AI Job Summary
About BDO
At BDO Australia, our why is ‘empowering people, realising possibilities’. One way we bring this to life is by hiring and developing exceptional talent, to deliver on our wide array of audit, tax and advisory services.
About the Role
Join our Graduate Program as a Graduate Consultant within our Cyber team, starting January 2027.
Technology is at the centre of how organisations operate, communicate and deliver services. As reliance on technology grows, so does the importance of protecting systems, data and people from cyber threats.
Our Cyber team helps organisations understand and manage cyber risks, strengthen security and build resilience against emerging threats.
As a Cyber Graduate, you'll work with clients across a range of industries, helping them protect their information, manage risks and respond to an increasingly complex digital environment.
Why Choose Cyber?
Cyber brings together technology, risk and business to help organisations protect what matters most.
Cyber security isn't just about preventing hackers. It's about helping organisations protect customer information, maintain business operations, meet regulatory requirements and respond to threats that could impact their reputation or performance.
One of the things that makes Cyber unique is the variety of challenges you'll be exposed to.
You could find yourself helping:
- A business strengthen its security controls to protect sensitive customer information
- An organisation identify vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by cyber criminals
- A client prepare for and respond to a cyber incident
- A company protect its systems from ransomware attacks and data breaches
- A leadership team understand cyber risks and make informed decisions about technology investments
Because cyber incidents can result in financial loss, operational disruption, reputational damage and loss of customer trust, organisations rely on Cyber professionals to help identify risks and strengthen their security before issues occur.
This variety will expose you to different industries, technologies and business challenges while helping you develop technical, commercial and consulting skills.
What You'll Do
As a Cyber Graduate at BDO, you can expect to:
- Support cyber risk assessments and security reviews
- Assist with cyber governance, risk and compliance engagements
- Learn industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and Essential Eight
- Support cyber resilience and incident response projects
- Assist with security testing and vulnerability assessments
- Analyse cyber risks and prepare recommendations for clients
- Work alongside experienced consultants to help organisations improve their cyber security capabilities
No two engagements are the same, providing exposure to a wide range of organisations, technologies and cyber security challenges.
