About BDO

At BDO Australia, our why is ‘empowering people, realising possibilities’. One way we bring this to life is by hiring and developing exceptional talent, to deliver on our wide array of audit, tax and advisory services.

About the Role

Join our Graduate Program as a Graduate Analyst within our Forensic Services team, with an immediate start available.

Our Forensic Services team helps organisations investigate complex issues, manage risk and respond to situations that could impact their operations, finances or reputation.

From fraud and misconduct investigations to disputes, anti-money laundering reviews, forensic technology and data analytics, we help clients understand what happened, why it happened and what they can do next.

As a Forensic Services Graduate, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to analyse information, investigate issues and support clients through challenging and often high-profile matters.

Why Choose Forensic Services?

Forensic Services allows you to build a career that combines accounting, law, and technology.

If you're naturally curious and enjoy solving complex problems, this team offers the opportunity to work on matters where the answers aren't always obvious and every engagement tells a different story.

One of the things that makes Forensic Services unique is the breadth of work you'll be exposed to.

You could find yourself helping:

  • Investigate suspected fraud, misconduct or financial irregularities
  • Analyse financial information as part of a commercial dispute or litigation matter
  • Review anti-money laundering frameworks and regulatory compliance processes
  • Use data analytics tools to identify unusual transactions, trends or risk indicators
  • Support organisations in strengthening governance, controls and fraud prevention measures

Because forensic work often involves understanding what happened, why it happened and what should happen next, you'll develop strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills while gaining insight into how organisations respond to risk and uncertainty.

What You'll Do

As a Forensic Services Graduate, you can expect to:

  • Support fraud, misconduct and financial investigations
  • Assist with forensic accounting, dispute and litigation support engagements
  • Contribute to anti-money laundering and compliance reviews
  • Use data analytics tools to review large datasets and identify trends, anomalies and risk indicators
  • Conduct research, analysis and evidence gathering
  • Assist with client deliverables, engagement documentation and reports
  • Work closely with experienced professionals across a variety of forensic engagements

Graduates are typically exposed to a mix of investigations, disputes, compliance and data analytics work, providing broad experience across multiple areas of forensics.

What you’ll get

  • 12-month learning and development program
  • Support and guidance from your buddy and manager
  • Service line specific learning and development, aligned to clear career pathways
