About our Traineeship Program:

We are looking for Trainees to join us in February 2026!

Our Trainee Protection & Control Testers carry out duties associated with the maintenance testing, operating and commissioning of Electrical Plant, Protection, Control, Metering and Communications equipment in Zone Substations. 

While predominantly working in a zone substation environment, you still must be willing to work outdoors, at heights and in all weather conditions.

If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us earning an industry recognised qualification: 

• Advanced Diploma – ESI Power Systems.

To be eligible to apply, you need to meet one of the following pre-requisites:

• Units 3 & 4 in Math Methods; or

• Units 3 & 4 in Physics

If you are currently completing a pre-requisite subject, you are eligible to apply, as long as it will be successfully completed by the end of the 2025 academic year.

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to consider applying, whether you are leaving school, TAFE, have experience working in a different industry, or if perhaps you have decided university is not for you.  We look for motivated individuals who want to be part of a team.
