Accounting Internship Program

CareerDC Internships charges a fee for the coordination of each internship program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course where applicable and support during your internship placement.

The Accounting Internship Program is for accounting students in Australia. It’s good for you if you are looking to get work experience with local businesses and have an internship that gives you academic credit.

The internship program is a great option if you are an international student studying in an Australian college or university and want to get Australian work experience and improve your professional skills. The internship program is also open to domestic Australian students.

If you are a new graduate or your degree doesn’t require an internship, you can enrol in the Accounting Internship Program and combine your internship placement with the accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. 

To give you a few examples, the host companies include: 

• Centrally located accounting firms
• Companies offering accounting, bookkeeping and tax-related services
• Accounting departments of businesses in different industries

As another example, your internship could include any combination of the following types of experiences, depending on your host company:

• Assistance with financial reports and tax returns
• Assist with financial statements
• Assisting with bookkeeping
• Learning about invoice processing and reconciliations
• Learning about compliance, inc. reporting, auditing and analysis
• Using accounting software and other tools such as Xero, Excel, Saasu, MYOB 

The internship program is facilitated by CareerDC. We are work experience placement coordinators and have been assisting students to get study-relevant internship placements since 2011.
