Regional Environment Program Officer

 

  • Fixed-term contract up to 12 months with potential to extend

The 3-Council Regional Environment Program is a long-standing and innovative collaboration between Woollahra Municipal Council, Randwick City Council and Waverley Council to undertake sustainability projects at a regional scale across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The Program, established in 2007, is now in its fifteenth year, has a track record of delivering successful projects to the benefit of each Council and its communities and has been recognised in national and regional environmental awards programs.

 

As the Regional Environment Program Coordinator you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the projects that sit under the 3-council Regional Environment Program including Compost Revolution, Solar my School, Solar my Suburb, Electric Vehicles charging and Energy Smart Cafes programs.

 

The Regional Environment Program Officer works closely with a variety of stakeholders to deliver outcomes which achieve significant, measurable, and cost-effective reductions in three focus areas: water, waste and greenhouse gas emissions/energy. To be successful in this position you will have a tertiary qualification in Renewable Energy, Environment Science, Project Management, or similar.
