We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified individual to join our team on a full-time basis.   Located on the lower North Shore, our leafy suburb has a vibrant and diverse village atmosphere. If you are open to fresh ideas, committed to progressing new initiatives and driven to provide the very best service to our community, we want to hear from you.   Reporting to the Manager - Open Space, you will be responsible for:

• Assessing Development Applications;
• Processing of tree pruning and tree removal applications;
• Advising on urban renewal and capital works projects; and
• Implementing the Urban Forest Strategy.

The successful candidate will have:

• Class C Driver's Licence;
• Diploma of Arboriculture or equivalent;
• Demonstrated experience in tree hazard and health assessment;
• Demonstrated experience or comprehensive understanding of managing;
  • Private tree applications under planning controls (Vegetation SEPP, LEP, DCP);
  • Development application assessments, including providing expert advice to relevant stakeholders.
