The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Systems Support Engineer (Application/Software Support) to join our Customer Service team. In this role, the primary objective is to provide technical support and assistance to our customers with their Dematic material handling systems integrated software. As part of the customer service department you will be required to support and implement in-house software applications running on real time systems.

The role is based in our office located in Belrose, NSW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting of technical issues of Dematic software products and systems
  • Work with the Dematic Contact Centre in handling support calls and providing regular updates
  • Participation of project work and commissioning of new systems on our customer sites
  • System monitoring, validation and regression testing
  • Update and contribute to the support team Confluence knowledge base
  • To work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ensure all administration work is completed and submitted on time and correctly
  • Use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices are used and customer sites are hazard free.
  • Participate in the on-call roster providing remote out of hours system coverage support

What We Are Looking For

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications, skills & experience:

  • Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in predominately Windows environments (2008, 2012, 2016, 20109 & 2022).
  • Knowledge of and experience with SQL Servers, networking, LANs 
  • Ability to use root cause analysis techniques to trace problems to their source
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Candidates with material handling systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of C++, C#, .NET, Python, Powershell (Windows), HTML will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of PLC software (i.e. Siemens and Rockwell) will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical and business expertise.
  • Availability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster providing remote after hours support by phone and email

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a strong desire to learn and develop new skills. To be successful in this role, you will need to have advanced problem solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage your time and prioritise to meet deadlines.
