Here at the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the Program Delivery and Operations branch (PDO) you can get paid work experience plus assistance payments throughout your 18-month internship with us.

Internship Inclusions

· 18-month internship (2023-2024) as a causal employee 

· Minimum 30 days paid work experience in first six months, and minimum 60 days paid work experience in the second year of the 18-month program.

· Assistance payment support, totalling $6,000.

At the end of your internship in PDO with Transport and Main Roads you may be eligible to enter the 2025 Graduate Program, which is permanent employment with the Department, subject to meeting certain conditions.
